“Mujina no Mukasari” is a traditional and strange event in the district near Komeyakata Guesthouse. A couple perform wedding ceremony. BUT the roles are reverse.The woman wears a traditional men’s wedding dress while the man wears traditional women’s wedding dress. Many children put on fox mask and also hold a torchlight parade through the town and up the hill above town to the shrine at the top. Would you like to join this event? Enjoy together!

村山市楯岡馬場地区の伝統行事 "狢のむかさり"　は「狐の嫁入り」の村山訛り。旧暦10月10日の夜、楯山に狐火が現れるという昔話をこどもたちが実現させようとしたイタズラが、この地域行事の始まりなのだとか。男女反転した新郎新婦、松明を持った大行列、狐面をかぶった子どもたちが、町内〜楯山を練り歩く。見知った道・見知った顔ぶれなのに、いつもと様子が全然違う。現実がちょっとずれて、別世界を覗いているような、不思議な気分になる行事。
